Greetings Torpedo Families,

We are so excited to start the 2025 swim season on MONDAY the 12th!!

We will send out a Friday email each week throughout the season to provide you with the information you need to know.

There are several reminders for this week:

• The SwimTopia app (available on Apple and Android) along with our Tuxford Torpedo website are the best places to stay informed and get answers to all of your questions. Please download the app today if you have not already.
• Monday, May 12th, is the FIRST day of practice. For the first week we will be doing dryland. We want to focus on the kids getting used to our coaches, our drills and the structure of our practices. Meet at tennis courts 5/6 with appropriate footwear, a water bottle and some sunscreen.
• The link to order swimsuits is here Get your order in right now to ensure it gets here in time for our first meet. We do have a few girls and boys sizes on hand. I know there have also been some posted on our FB site to be handed down from previous Torpedoes.
• Please start DECLARING or UNDECLARING for the Fun Meet on May 27th and 1st swim meet on May 29th. While you are doing this task for the first two meets, it would be a great time to DECLARE or UNDECLARE for the entire season! I can't tell you how important this task is for our coaching staff. Please help us by doing this 2 minute task.
• While you are in there DECLARING or UNDECLARING, you will now be prompted to sign-up for a job for each swim meet. All jobs are now OPEN. If you are a new family, these jobs are not hard and have descriptions included. Just sign up and we will help you! We need A LOT of help to make a swim meet run efficiently. REMINDER - we ask each family to volunteer a minimum of 3 times. Multiple swimmers = 4-5 times.
• We are looking for someone to take over as concession lead for NEXT season. Stacey McCord has perfected this role over the years and can help someone transition smoothly into this role throughout the season. Please reach out if you are interested.
• We have some AMAZING sponsors for the upcoming season that we would like to thank. You will continue to hear more about these local businesses in our community.
