Greetings Torpedo Families,

We are so excited to start the 2026 swim season

We will send out an email each week throughout the season to provide you with the information you need to know.

There are several reminders for this week:

• The SwimTopia app (available on Apple and Android) along with our Tuxford Torpedo website are the best places to stay informed and get answers to all of your questions. Please download the app today if you have not done so already.
• TODAY, May 4th, is the FIRST day of practice. Our hope is to be in the water as many days as possible prior to the start of the season. Due to weather conditions (or pool temperature) we may opt for dryland, so please ensure kiddos are coming with appropriate footwear. 
• If you did not have an opportunity to order your swimsuit, the link is here Get your order in right away to ensure it gets here in time for our first meet. You can sometimes find one that can be handed down from previous Torpedoes on the FaceBook page.
• Please start DECLARING or UNDECLARING (via the website or SwimTopia app) for the Fun Meet on May 26th and our 1st swim meet on May 28th. While you are doing this task for the first two meets, it would be a great time to DECLARE or UNDECLARE for the entire season! I can't tell you how important this task is for our coaching staff. Please take 2 minutes and help us out.
• While you are in there DECLARING or UNDECLARING, you will now be prompted to sign-up for a job for each swim meet. All jobs are now OPEN. If you are a new family, these jobs are not hard and have descriptions included. Just sign up and we will help you! We need A LOT of help to make a swim meet run efficiently. REMINDER - we ask each family to volunteer a minimum of 4 shifts. Multiple swimmers = 6 shifts
• Ian and Heather are working tirelessly to secure some AMAZING sponsors for the upcoming season. If you would like to sponsor the Torpedoes (or know a business that would) please let us know right away. We have sponsorships that start as low as $250 for the entire season.
