Torpedo Talk - May 8th Edition
May 8th
Greetings Torpedo Families,
Thie season is officially underway. We hope your swimmers had a lot of fun this week. It was great that we were able to get in the water each day. We understand many families had conflicts due to other activities, so do not worry. We cannot wait to see all of our other swimmers starting on Monday.
There are several reminders for this week:
- Please make sure you have downloaded the SwimTopia app and utilize our TuxfordTorpedo website These are the best places to stay informed and
get answers to all of your questions about the swim season. - Once you're on the website go under the "Volunteer Responsibilities"
section for step-by-step instruction to VOLUNTEER for jobs and DECLARE for
meets. We are still in need for additional volunteers for each
meet. It takes A LOT of help to make a swim meet run efficiently.
REMINDER
We ask each family to volunteer a minimum of 4 times. Multiple swimmers = 6 times.
A huge THANK YOU to all the families that have already picked their volunteer assignments. We are way ahead of the game.
- Please make sure your swimsuit order is in – time is almost out. The link to
order swimsuits is here. Please let us know if you have any questions or need help. - Please go in and DECLARE or UNDECLARE for your swimmers for the entire season. I can't tell you how important this task is for our coaching staff. Please help us by doing this 2-minute task.
- We are finalizing our t-shirts, they are going to look great. We them to be here in time for the Fun Meet on May 26th. We have swim caps available, if your swimmer would like one please ask Jason or Chris when you are up at the pool.
- LAST CALL for evening swim sessions. If your swimmer needs to practice in the evening at all during the season please email Jason to secure a slot. Some days are already full.
- Please take a second and fill out this brief survey regarding our end of year banquet here.
If there is ANYTHING else you need, please text, email or ask us when you see us at practice.
Jason and Chris
